Each auction lists a single stone with a ladder of fixed price tiers, from an opening bid up to a ceiling (highest) price. You pick the tier you want to bid at, enter your name, WhatsApp number, and email, then submit. The countdown shows how much time remains. When the clock runs out, the highest tier that received a bid wins.
All tiers remain open throughout the entire auction. No single bid closes it early. Even the highest (ceiling) tier simply means one bidder has the top position; everyone else can keep bidding. Multiple people can hold bids at different tiers simultaneously. The system records every bid. If two bids land at the same tier, the earliest one takes priority. Lower-tier bids are kept as backup: if the leading bidder cannot complete the purchase, the seller works down the list from highest to lowest. Bidding at any tier, even if someone is above you, is never wasted.
The same auction runs simultaneously in our private WhatsApp group. We announce the stone, share preview video, and take bids by message during the same window. Bids from the website and the WhatsApp group are considered together. If you prefer to bid by message rather than the website form, joining the group is the way to do it.
Placing a bid is a serious commitment to purchase at that price if you are selected as the winner. It is not a legally binding contract, but we treat it as a genuine intention to pay. When you submit a bid, you confirm that you are willing and able to complete the purchase. Bids placed without intent to follow through are unfair to other bidders and may result in exclusion from future auctions. The seller reviews all bids and their decision is final.
When the seller confirms you as the winner, they will contact you directly on the WhatsApp number you provided. You agree payment terms in that conversation.
Sri Lanka buyers: once payment is confirmed, we aim to release the stone to our local courier within 2 business days. Release means handover to the carrier only, not delivery to your address. Standard island-wide delivery typically takes a further 2–3 business days; express is often 1 business day to Colombo or 1–2 to major towns. See our local delivery guide for details.
International buyers: export from Sri Lanka is a private arrangement agreed between buyer and seller. We can manage the full licensed export process for the stone, including packing and documentation through approved export channels, or work with export arrangements you prefer. Import duties, customs fees, and taxes at your destination are the buyer's sole responsibility and are not included in the stone price or export cost. Read our international buyers guide for typical landed-cost ranges by corridor (UK, EU, US, Australia, UAE) before you bid.
Auction sales follow the same honest-description standard as shop purchases. Once a winning bidder is confirmed and the stone has been sent, we handle questions case by case, not as open returns for colour preference or change of mind. Use the listing video and description to judge the stone before you bid. If a stone proves synthetic or materially not as represented, contact us promptly; we review those cases individually. Read our returns guide for the full picture.
To join the WhatsApp group, use the invite link below or on any auction page. Members get early previews of stones before they go live on the website, auction announcements, and the ability to bid directly by message. The group is also where we share sourcing updates and new arrivals first.
